The DLSZ 15U basketball team, reinforced by Christian Mben (17U) and Jed Clevecilla (16U), under the guidance of Head Coach Lance Ingco and Assistant Coach Mark Porlahe, showcased their prowess on the court as they clinched a remarkable third runner-up finish in a challenging 18-Under Tagaytay Highlands International Basketball Tournament held last March 18 to 20, 2024 at the Highlands Sports Center, Tagaytay City.
This served as a platform for intense competition among six teams hailing from the Philippines and Guam. Despite facing off against formidable 18- year- old opponents, being the youngest team, the squad battled fiercely, rose to the occasion, and proved their mettle against older and more experienced adversaries in a close match scoreboard reading a final score of 55-61.
Until the final buzzer, the DLSZ 15U basketball boys had undoubtedly left a lasting impression, proving that age is just a number when it comes to passion, skill, teamwork, and love for the game. Animo!
