DLSZ GS Karateka student wins Gold in the Nobukawa-ha International Karate Championships

Congratulations to DLSZ Grade School Karateka student, Dominic Francisco Edralin (DLSZ 2031) for winning Gold in the Nobukawa-ha International Karate Championships held last October 12-17, 2023 in Kobe, Japan. 

When Nico won the Gold medal, it was an indescribable feeling of pride and joy. Not only did he excel as an individual athlete, but he also brought immense honor to our school and country. His victory was a testament to his dedication, hard work, and perseverance in the face of challenges.

Leading up to the competition, Nico faced numerous obstacles, including rigorous training, intense competition, and the pressure of representing both his school and the Philippines on an international stage. However, through sheer determination, hard work, and resilience, he overcame these challenges, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his craft.

Nobukawa-ha International Karate Championships is a biennial international championships organized by the Japan Nobukawa-ha Shitoryu Karatedo Federation with the end in mind of spreading and development of Karate do. 

Moving forward from this monumental achievement, we can expect even greater things from the DLSZ Karatedo team. This victory serves as a springboard for Nico to continue honing his skills, pushing his limits, and striving for excellence in future competitions. As a team, DLSZ will continue to support and guide him as he embarks on his journey to further success, both on and off the mat. Together, we look forward to witnessing Nico’s continued growth and accomplishments, as he continues to inspire and make us proud with his remarkable talent and dedication to Karate.
