According to data from the Philippines Orphanage Foundation, out of the over 109 million population in the country, there were at least 2 million orphaned children. Moreover, there was an average of only 139 Filipino orphan children adopted per year from 2014 to 2018.
To cap off the celebration of National Children’s Month, De La Salle Zobel School through its Social Action Office is inviting our Lasallian Partners and Parents to attend the webinar: Love Makes A Family: Introducing Adoption & Foster Care on Monday, November 28, 9:00am- 12:00nn via Zoom.
DLSZ alumni Chrina Cuna- Henson (DLSZ 2004) and Charlyn Camille Anglo (DLSZ 2004) from ROHEI Foundation will be the key speakers. ROHEI Foundationa is a non-profit organization that aims to introduce all about Adoption and Foster Care in the country. Their vision is to “see a world where every orphan is adopted into a family, breaking the generational cycle of illegitimacy and poverty. We see a world where every family is empowered to move in compassion and generosity towards the orphans.”
