Support OLS through "Taliti de Palabra" on Dec.11-14

The DLSZ Cultural Affairs Office proudly presents “Taliti de Palabra”, an art installation by Ms. Janine Cabato, DLSZ Spark Museum Curator and former art teacher, that features an array of plump speech bubbles suspended in air with positive catchphrases. The speech bubble art will be for sale at Php 150.00 – 250.00 and part of the proceeds will go to the One La Salle Scholarship Fund.

The exhibit will run from December 11-14, 2012 at the school’s Br. Leo Flavius FSC canteen (former Cadlum Hall) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Below is the concept of “Taliti de Palabra” to further acquaint you with its specifics:

The experiential treat behind “Taliti de Palabra” – which is to say “shower of words” – graphically portrays what it literally means. Viewers seemingly step into a comic strip where an array of plump speech bubbles hang suspended in air. Its graphic interpretation of thoughts, conversations and expressions are made visual through ordinary lightweight materials of canvas, felt and stuffing. While the allure of this installation lies in hand-skilled diligence, the amusing appeal of floating words rests mainly on its dialogue content, a mishmash of positive catchphrases a Lasallian student can easily relate to.
