Grand Prize Winner, Patricia Alexandra M. Dela Cruz, bested entries from Leader in Me schools in the US, India, Dominican Republic, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Popular Vote Winner, Allen Tobey M. Abrojena generated over 7,000 votes from all over the world.

Moreover, two Lasallian leaders made it as Regional Finalists.  Maria Daniella I. Masongsong’s (DLSZ BRafeNHS 2026) speech, Bridging Gaps, Creating Change that Starts with Me,” made it to the Individual Category for ages 11-15.  In addition, Brent Izekiel C. Escalona (DLSZ 2033) also landed in the Individual Category for ages 5-10.  His entry is entitled, My Journey of Becoming a Lasallian Leader. Being a Regional Finalist means their entries were in the top 3 speeches in their category.

This year, Franklin Covey Education International received an astounding 2,100 submissions from 31 countries.  The competition was divided into the following categories: individual age, school and a popular vote category.  This is only the second year that DLSZ joined this renowned global competition and the first time that Lasallian leaders emerged as winners in the individual and popular categories.

Franklin Covey Education International emphasizes that the Leader in Me highlights “the importance of developing leadership skills and empowering young minds to make a difference in their communities.  The Leader in Me Global Speech Contest is an annual competition participated in by Leader in Me schools around the world.  The success of students in this contest demonstrates their ability to articulate their ideas confidently and to lead with a vision for the future, which are essential qualities for tomorrow’s leaders.”

Animo Lasallian Leaders for being #TheSpark!
