Honoring Exceptional Lasallian Leaders in School-Wide Leadership Week

Leadership is often seen as a quality reserved for a select few – the student council, the classroom officers, captains of sports teams, or the star performers in various fields. However, the first Lasallian Leadership Week proved that everyone can be a leader by fostering an inclusive environment that recognizes and nurtures the leadership potential in every student.

With the theme “Be the Spark,” this event serves as a powerful reminder that leadership is not confined to specific roles but can be embraced by everyone within the community. Additionally, it aimed to acknowledge and appreciate the outstanding achievements and commitments of Lasallian Leaders who have demonstrated the Lasallian Core Values and the 8 Habits in their respective roles. The week provided a unique opportunity for the Lasallian community to come together, reflect on shared values, and celebrate the transformative impact of Lasallian Leadership.

Various student-led activities throughout the week were conducted, such as sharing success stories, showcasing talent, demonstrating the application of the 8 Habits, organizing the Lasallian Leader in Me (LLIM) exhibit and mural painting, having dialogues with school heads, listening to inspirational talks, launching LLIM service projects, and organizing LLIM t-shirt design contests and fundraising for our Brother school, St. Jaime Hilario School, in Bagac, Bataan.

Dr. Cathy Villanueva, School Physician, gives an inspirational talk to lower grade students.
Santiago Alonzo M. Aldea, Grade 2G, shares his story about how he lives the
eight (8) Lasallian Leader in Me Habits.

The culminating day, which took place on January 26, marked the end of the Lasallian Leadership Week. Highlighting this event was an inspirational talk from Ms. Muriel Summers, the Leader in Me Global Ambassador. This day provided a venue to celebrate the remarkable successes and contributions of the school’s Lasallian Leaders, both within the community and globally.

Kacey Faye Francesca D. Sumajit, Grade 12H, also shares her LLIM Stories to fellow students, Lasallian Partners and guests in Vermosa Campus.
