Congratulations to the MUNTINLUPA- DLSZ Seniors Baseball Varsity athletes representing the Philippine National Team in the 2023 XI BFA U15 Asian Baseball Championship held last August 20, 2023 at the Weihai Blue Whale Baseball Stadium, Shandong, China.
The Philippine National Team represented our Nation well and was successful in raising the Philippines’ Ranking – to 5th place as the Final Standing in the World Baseball and Softball Confederation.
They were accompanied by our DLSZ Baseball Programs Head, Coach Joseph Orillana who is also the Philippines’ Team Manager and Coach.
This event is sponsored by the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) and the Chinese Baseball Association, hosted by the Shandong Provincial Sports Bureau and the Weihai Municipal People’s Government.
The Asian Youth Baseball Championship is a grand event for youth. There are 144 young baseball players from 8 countries and regions competing on the same stage. Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong China, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan were among the participants this year.
