PAASCU Grants Level III Re-Accreditation to the Junior High School Department

The Junior High School Department has also been granted Level III re-accreditation for five (5) years, valid until May 2027 by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). PAASCU “is a private, voluntary, non-profit, and non-stock corporation that accredits, or quality assures academic programs of its member schools and does institutional accreditation.”

Level III re-accreditation status is the highest level given to basic education units. Back in 2016, the Level III accreditation was for the entire high school. This time, the Junior High School and Senior High School applied for re-accreditation separately.

Ms. Leah Marie Tumlos-Castillo, Junior High School Vice Principal proudly shares this accomplishment to the Lasallian community:

“This is another extraordinary blessing this academic year for which we are deeply thankful. With all the actions taken in response to the previous PAASCU Survey Team’s recommendations and in celebration of the school’s 43rd year founding anniversary, we took on the challenges of virtual accreditation amidst the pandemic with an open mind and a humble heart. Over the years, we have come to learn and recognize that quality is primarily our chief responsibility and we believe that accreditation is a developmental process for the attainment of excellence as an educational institution. As such, we sincerely thank the PAASCU Resurvey Team for guiding us in our journey towards quality improvement.

I wholeheartedly thank the entire DLSZ community – students, parents, alumni and Lasallian Partners – for their presence, commitment and contributions to achieve our collective goals. The community’s willingness to work together and resilience made us embrace the challenge of meeting the standards of school excellence in the delivery of quality Lasallian education and service. This is our faithful response to Christ’s call to serve in the ministry of teaching minds, touching hearts and transforming lives.

Congratulations, fellow Lasallians! Let us sustain the animo spirit and be witnesses to the Lord’s life-giving love. “
