Congratulations to Kim Patrick L. Chan (DLSZ 2015) for being among the “successful examinees who garnered the ten highest places” in the December 2021 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination. Kim ranked 10th with a rating of 87.30%.
Kim shares, “In high school, I knew I wasn’t the most hardworking or most intelligent in my batch but during the numbered days I had left in Zobel, I knew I sought for change. The lessons and values I carry with me to this day are my strive for excellence and be the change I wanted to see in myself. I went to De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) with an idea in mind to change my work ethic by putting more effort into my personal development and studies. Eventually, I went on to excel in academics and participate in extracurricular activities. I was able to do these things because I became passionate and sought ways to invest in good habits with a mindset which made the goals I gave myself achievable.
To my fellow Lasallians, I can say it’s never too late to ignite the spark of change within yourself and embody the best person you know yourself to be. Making mistakes along the way is normal and only an obstacle for you to overcome in your personal growth because choosing yourself is the greatest decision and biggest investment you will ever make especially when you give your best efforts and are passionate in what you want to do and with that, you can achieve anything your heart and mind wants to do.”
