Microsoft Recognizes DLSZ as Showcase School for AY 2020-2021

Once again, Microsoft has recognized De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) as a Showcase School for AY 2020-2021.

The Microsoft Showcase School recognizes DLSZ for “educational transformation that includes vision and innovation in teaching, learning, and preparing students for the future.”

DLSZ has implemented the Next Generation Blended Learning (NxGBL)–blending face-to-face instruction, multimedia and mobile devices to enable dynamic and personalized learning processes so that students will be able to develop innovation skills; Robotics program and EdTech Initiatives like Minecraft for EDU projects for years.

This has given the school the edge and the confidence to transition to Online Distance Learning this year.

“With this recognition, the school hopes to fortify the Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) program and the SparkEd Center by maximizing all resources and appreciating all opportunities, then sharing all these to fellow Lasalle schools and other educators all over the country. In this way, we will be able to empower teachers, students and the whole DLSZ community not just to innovate learning with technology, but to ultimately contribute to Philippine education and help build the nation,” shared Ms. Leah Marie Tumlos-Castillo, Junior High School Vice Principal together with EdTech Coordinators, Ms. Winnie Diola and Mr. Symbol Fabellon.

DLSZ was first recognized as a Showcase School in 2015 and in 2018. To date, Microsoft has granted 37 Lasallian Partners with Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert Certification.
