Congratulations to our De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) Triathlon Team for their podium finish and solid performances at the RLC RESIDENCES IRONKIDS 2025 and the 2025 Sunrise Sprint, held last June 14, 2025, and June 15, 2025, respectively, both staged at Subic Bay Freeport.
Under the guidance of Coach Noel Salvador, our young Lasallian athletes showed impressive endurance, discipline, and competitive spirit across all age categories, representing the school in one of the country’s premier multisport youth competitions.
Kurt delivered a powerful all-around performance to claim the top spot in his category. Starting strong with a 150-meter swim, he clocked in at 2 minutes and 45 seconds — a pace of 1:50 per 100 meters. He moved swiftly through Transition 1 in 1:25, then attacked the 4 km bike course with confidence, finishing it in 8:33, averaging 28.1 km/h. After a quick Transition 2 of 0:37, Kurt capped off his race with a 1.5km run in 6:15, maintaining a fast pace of 4:10 per kilometer. His total time of 19:33 secured him the Champion title in the IRONKIDS 9–10 Male category.
