DLSZ Triathlon Team Makes Waves and Breaks Limits at Vermosa Events

Congratulations to our DLSZ Triathlon Team for their outstanding podium finishes at the 2025 Sundown Aquathlon held last April 26, 2025, and the 2025 Aquaman Aquathlon held last May 11, 2025 — both staged at the Vermosa Sports Hub, Imus, Cavite.

The team showed impressive endurance, discipline, and competitive spirit across all age categories, solidifying DLSZ’s presence as a powerhouse in multisport youth competition.

Tayshawn Caleb Carlos (DLSZ 2027)
1st Runner-Up, Sundown Aquathlon 16–17 Category Male

Caleb displayed great athletic prowess as he opened with a swift 3km run, clocking in at 13 minutes and 41 seconds, with a pace of 4:34 min/km, followed by a solid 500m swim finished in 11 minutes and 7 seconds, with a swim pace of 2:13 min/100m. He closed with a strong second 3km run at 15 minutes and 28 seconds, maintaining a 5:09 min/km pace. Caleb wrapped up his race in a total time of 40 minutes and 16 seconds, showcasing his consistency and grit throughout the course.

Enrique Jose De La Rosa (DLSZ 2034)
2nd Runner-Up, Sundown Aquathlon 9–10 Category Male

Enrique proved once again why he is one of DLSZ’s youngest champions to watch. He completed the 250m swim segment in 6 minutes and 26 seconds, averaging a swim pace of 2:34 min/100m. He followed up with an impressive 1km run in just 4 minutes and 53 seconds, which translates to a pace of 4:53 min/km. Enrique’s total time of 11 minutes and 19 seconds is a reflection of both his improving swim form and consistent run capability — a fantastic performance that earned him a spot on the podium.

Iñigo Mateo David (DLSZ 2028)
2nd Runner-Up, Aquaman Aquathlon Lite Distance 15–19 Male

Mateo delivered a strong finish as he completed the 400m swim in 7 minutes and 33 seconds, translating to a swim pace of 1:53 min/100m — one of the fastest swim splits among his peers. He then stormed through the 2.5km run in 13 minutes and 27 seconds, maintaining a solid 5:23 min/km pace. With a total finish time of 21 minutes flat, Mateo earned a well-deserved place on the podium and continues to raise the bar for DLSZ’s teen triathletes.

We also extend our congratulations to the following DLSZ Triathlon Team members for their solid and commendable performances in both Aquathlon events. Their hard work, discipline, and determination contributed greatly to the team’s overall success.
