ADMISSIONS POLICY

The De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) is a Catholic school. Non-Catholics are admitted provided they participate in all religious activities that are required of the students. No exemption shall be granted by reason of membership in or affiliation with a different religion.

A student’s application will be given due course when the student-applicant meets all the academic requirements and has none of the disqualification prescribed by the School, the Department of Education 2010 Revised Manual of Regulations for Private Schools in Basic Education and the DLSZ Student Handbook as amended and such other rules promulgated by the School.

The school reserves the right at any time to refuse, to admit, or to re-admit students under certain conditions as enrolment in DLSZ is a privilege.

OFFERINGS

The De La Salle Santiago Zobel School Senior High School envisions its students to be committed to excellence in the service of others and to be ready for higher education, career and employment. The DLSZ SHS Curriculum is anchored on the Lasallian Guiding Principles for Educational Experiences, the 21st Century Learning Skills, the DepEd Senior High School competencies, and the College Readiness Standards (CRS).

For the Academic Year 2024-2025, three strands of the Academic Track and the Arts and Design Track are offered.

ACADEMIC TRACK

ACCOUNTANCY, BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT (ABM)

This strand prepares students who have an inclination for business, banking, accountancy, marketing, finance, and financial management. The set of subjects under this strand culminates with a business enterprise simulation project. 

HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES (HUMSS)

For students whose interests include human individuals and societies, this strand offers subjects in Humanities (Philosophy, Arts, Literature, and Journalism), Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, and Social Work), and Education. The students in this strand are required to make a creative portfolio and participate in a culminating activity showcasing their outputs.

SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS (STEM)

For future scientists, information and technology experts, engineers, mathematicians, health scientists, agriculturists, this strand hones proficiency in the natural sciences, mathematics, and computer technology. Culmination of this strand is the writing of a scientific research (capstone project) and the presentation of such in a public forum. 

ARTS AND DESIGN TRACK

A high level of artistic participation and performance is required of students in this strandSubjects in this strand target competencies related to literature, theater, dance, music, architecture, visual arts, painting, sculpture, TV, film and multimedia arts.  This culminates with an exhibit for arts production or a performing arts production.

QUALIFICATIONS

The applicant must have a general average of at least 85% with no grade lower than 80% in any subject and in conduct during any grading period.

Former DLSZ students who left without conditions and have been out for at least 2 years are classified as transferees when they come back and must undergo the usual procedure for application.

For Applicants with Dual Citizenship

  • As a general rule, dual citizens are classified as Filipinos upon submission of any of the ONLY two (2) proofs of Philippine citizenship.
  • Copy of Philippine passport and/or
  • Copy of Identification Certificate as Filipino/Certificate of Recognition as Filipino Citizen/Naturalization Certificate as Filipino

For International Applicants

  • Copy of Birth Certificate from the Office of the Civil Registry of the country of birth, translated into English, or Embassy Certification of birth details;
  • Copy of valid Passport- Bio page, Visa page and stamp of latest arrival page; and
  • Copy of valid Alien Certificate of Registration Identification(ACR I-card) issued by the Bureau of Immigration;
  • Copy of Special Investor’s Resident Visa (SIRV), Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV), PRA or other valid Visa Identification documentNote: Tourist Visa and Balikbayan Visa holders are required by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to apply for a Special Study Permit (SSP). SPECIAL APPLICATION REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS COMING FROM A SCHOOL OVERSEAS

Copy of Apostille / Authentication Certificate 

Bring all academic records (report cards and/or transcript of records) to the Office of the Philippine Embassy/Office of the Consular Official in the country which has jurisdiction over the issuing school and secure Apostille / Authentication Certificate. All documents must have an English translation of the entries particularly the name of the student, subjects (with descriptions), grades and grade level.

The Application Fee rate will be based on the nationality of the applicant at the time of the application. For those with on-going petition for Dual Citizenship, please submit as proof a photocopy of the Official Receipt and Receiving Copy of Requirements from the Philippine Consulate or the Bureau of Immigration.

All submitted documents in compliance with the entrance examination requirements shall become the property of DLSZ and are NOT to be returned to the applicant.

Admissions Test

Download the Test Permit from the Admissions Portal (https://admissions.dlszobel.edu.ph) and take the test as scheduled.

Check the application result as stated in the Test Permit through the  Admissions Portal (https://admissions.dlszobel.edu.ph)

RELEASE OF APPLICATION RESULTS

  1. Application results are available online via the application portal.
  2. Telephone inquiries regarding the application results will NOT be entertained.
  3. Parents of accepted applicants should confirm enrollment on the dates indicated in the Acceptance Letter.

PROCEDURE FOR CONFIRMATION OF ENROLLMENT

Download and accomplish the Development Fee Fund (DFF) and Affidavit of Undertaking (AU) from
the DLSZ Admissions Portal. The AU must also be notarized.

For international applicants, download and accomplish the International Student Form (ISF), too.

Pay the Development Fee (DF) through the different payment facilities

FAILURE TO CONFIRM ENROLLMENT WITHIN THE GIVEN TIME FRAME MAY FORFEIT THE APPLICANT’S ADMISSION TO DE LA SALLE SANTIAGO ZOBEL SCHOOL.

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE

Upload the completed DDF, notarized AU, ISF (if applicable) and the DF proof of payment through the DLSZ Admissions Portal.

Email these documents to:

Issuance of the DLSZ Family Portal Account.
Check the primary email address used at the start of the application for an email on how to access the portal.

Complete the online tuition assessment and enrollment via the DLSZ Family Portal, then proceed to payment through different payment facilities.

Email a copy of the enrollment proof of payment to the admissions@dlszobel.edu.ph and studentaccounts@dlszobel.edu.ph.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

The following enrollment requirements must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office in Alabang Campus on or before August 31, 2024:

  1. Original Copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (formerly National Statistics Office); 
  2. Original Final Report Card of the current level signed by the School Head/Registrar which indicates the level completed and the level the student is eligible for admission to; 
  3. Certified True Copy of Grade 10 Certificate of Completion Diploma with the student’s LRN (for Grade Eleven transferee); and
  4. Original Copy of the Apostille / Authentication Certification and attachments.

Additional payment which may be required upon enrollment aside from the Tuition and Other Fees.

1. Upon recommendation by the Admissions Board or the Filipino Subject Area Coordinator, a student may be required to attend a Special Filipino Class and will be charged the Special Filipino Fee.

2. International students required by the Bureau of Immigration to apply for a Special Study Permit will be charged PhP 8,000.
