Frequently Asked Questions on the GREEN Raffle Project

 

1. What is the GREEN Raffle Project? Why do we need this?
 
The GREEN (Grand Raffle Extravaganza for DLSZ’s Emerald Anniversary) Raffle Project hopes to bring together the entire DLSZ family, partners, and friends to raise Php35 million to grow its One La Salle Scholarship Fund.
 
2. Who will benefit from this project?
 
DLSZ Academics, Performing Arts, Leadership, Sports as well as Financial Assistance scholars; and the Br. Rafael Donato FSC Night High School scholars.
 
3. What do I need to do?
 
All students and Lasallian Partners of DLSZ are encouraged to sell at least ten (10) GREEN Raffle Tickets each.
 
4. How much does one ticket cost?
 
One (1) GREEN Raffle ticket costs One Thousand Pesos (Php1,000.00).
 
5. Am I required to sell all tickets? What if I cannot sell 10 tickets? Can I return it?
 
You are not required to sell all tickets but we highly encourage all students and Lasallian Partners to sell the tickets so we can reach the target Php35 million for the One La Salle Scholarship Fund. Since the selling period is long – from October to February – we are hoping everyone will have enough time to talk and convince their friends and relatives about helping in this advocacy of sending more students to study in DLSZ.
 
6. Can I sell more than 10 tickets?
 
Yes, you can sell more than 10 tickets. We will give one (1) free ticket for every ten (10) tickets sold as incentive.
 
7. Can I sell my free ticket after selling 10 tickets? Is there a separate drop box for the free ticket stub?
 
You can either keep it and use it as your own entry or sell it.
 
Yes. For purposes of accounting the free tickets, the stubs must be dropped at a special drop box located at the Development and Communications Office (DCO).
 
8. Who do I ask for more tickets?
 
For more tickets to sell, you can request from the Development and Communications Office (DCO) located at the 2nd Floor of the St. Mutien Marie Building, DLSZ with tel nos. (02) 771-3579 local 748 or (02) 842-8480, email: idco@dlszobel.edu.ph.
 
9. How will I pay for the tickets? Can I pay in check or credit card? Where can I drop my ticket stub/s?
 
Tickets can be paid in cash/check/credit card at the DLSZ Cashier.
 
Students and parents/guardians should present their completely filled-out stubs upon payment. For the lower grades, a representative from the Finance Office will be dispatched daily during the first period to collect payments and issue receipts.
Raffle stubs will be inserted in the secured drop box in the presence of the payer after payment. The drop box is located at the Finance Office of DLSZ.
 
10.  When is the deadline for the payment of tickets and submission of ticket stubs?
 
Deadline of payment and dropping of raffle stubs is on February 10, 2014 at 5:00pm. All unsold tickets should be returned at the DCO on the same day for ticket verification.
 
11. When is the Grand Raffle Draw? What if we don’t meet the target number of tickets sold by the Raffle Draw date? Can we extend the selling period?
 
The GREEN Raffle has a pre-raffle draw on November 23, 2013 during the Family Fun Day wherein one golf cart and some consolation prizes will be given; but the major prizes will be drawn during the Grand Raffle Draw on February 14, 2014, Valentine’s Day!
AS OF FEBRUARY 7, 2014, WE ARE STILL FAR FROM OUR TARGET. THEREFORE, THE GREEN RAFFLE COMMITTEE HAS DECIDED TO EXTEND THE SELLING PERIOD UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2014. 
12. What are the minor and major prizes? Are the major prizes tax free?
 
Minor prizes at stake are iPhones, iPads, LED TVs, Home Theater Systems and Golf Carts.
 
Major prizes are Toyota Innova, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Alphard, Lexus CT200 and the Grand Prize is the Mercedes C180 Avant Garde. All major prizes are subject to 20% Withholding Tax of the acquisition cost of the prize to be shouldered by the winner.
13. Am I still entitled to join the major prize draw even if I already won a minor prize?
 
Yes. But you cannot win two (2) major prizes. If your name is drawn more than once, you may choose between the two prizes drawn.
 
14. Can I exchange my prize for cash equivalent?
 
Prizes are not convertible to cash except the golf carts.
 
15.  Do I have to be physically present during the Grand Raffle Draw to claim a prize?
How will I be informed if I win a prize? Up to when can I claim my prize?
 
You don’t have to be physically present during the Grand Raffle Draw to win prizes. We will notify you via text or email if you win and we will give you sixty (60) days to claim your prize but be sure to bring two (2) valid picture IDs (School ID, SSS, Driver’s License, Passport) and the winning raffle ticket in good condition when claiming your prize. We will also publish the list of winners in the DLSZ website. After 60 days, unclaimed prizes will be forfeited in favor of DLSZ. Claiming of prizes after the Grand Raffle Draw will be at DCO.
