DLSZ Officially Launches GREEN Raffle Project

October 1, 2013 marked the official launch date of the GREEN Raffle Project. Wearing their green La Salle shirts, all students and Lasallian Partners assembled at the Sports Pavilion to witness the program.
To accommodate all students and Lasallian Partners, two programs on different time slots – 8:30 am and 10:30 am – were prepared for the Pre-Kinder to Grade 5 and Grade 6 to Fourth Year High School students.
Br. Bernard S. Oca FSC, in his opening message, explained how everyone could win without winning the minor and major prizes.
“Today, we will start a project wherein we give off ourselves. We will share and we will win! You can win if you share yourself by helping us sell tickets so that we would be able to send more students to De La Salle Zobel, especially the night school. But those prizes, even if you did not win, are not important. What is important is that you share for our scholars,” reiterated Br. Bernie. “Help us by giving others a chance to study in Zobel”.
Following Br. Bernie’s stirring address is a video presentation revealing thorough information about the Green Raffle Project. A roar of excitement filled the Sports Pavilion when the minor and major prizes were flashed on the screen. Consequentially, the AVP was able to communicate how everyone can be called winners just by buying a ticket.
In the words of Anthony Loreso Aguillo (DLSZ 2014), one of the emcees, this project is a win-win situation. Thus, the name of the characters in the official logo of the Green Raffle Project.
The structure of the official logo was presented where one block will be placed for every Php250,000.00 worth of tickets sold. The figure of “Win Win” will be completed if the community reaches the overall target quota.
The De La Salle Santiago Zobel Alumni Association (DLSZAA) pledged an amount of Php 250,000.00 while CATS Motors Inc. donated Php 300,000.00. Br. Bernie placed the first block to stand in for the latter’s donation; DLSZAA was represented by Ms. Pauline De Lange (DLSZ 2008) and Mr. Arnold Andaya (DLSZ 1988) in the first and second program, respectively.
An AVP of scholars expressing their gratitude was shown followed by the performance of the DLSZ Pep Squad. The singing of the Alma Mater Hymn concluded the event.
Ms. Ianne Borilio, Wizard of Ads Project Director, Sandra Jolie Gelhay (DLSZ 2021), and Josemaria Rafael Lopez (DLSZ 2021) were the Masters of Ceremony during the 8:30 am program while Ms. Pauline De Lange, School Counselor for Athletes and Anthony Aguillo hosted the 10:30 am event.
DLSZ also acknowledges CATS Motors, Inc. for taking an active part in the school’s advocacy of making Lasallian education more accessible to a wider base of the school-age population.
