Br. Bernard S. Oca FSC delivered his first Town Hall Assembly (THA) for Academic Year 2013-2014 at the Sylvia P. Lina Theater last July 19, 2013. Offices were shutdown from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm to give way for the Lasallian Partners to attend the said assembly.

The whole address was devoted to prayer and reiterating the school’s blessings for the past 35 years. DLSZ’s Emerald Anniversary coincides with the Year of Faith, making it more suitable to build the whole assembly into a prayer.
One of the many blessings that Br. Bernie brought up was the growing population of our students and Lasallian Partners. This academic year has the highest number of student enrollees, a first in DLSZ history.
The revision of the school’s Vision and Mission was also discussed. Though it is not yet final, Br. Bernie presented the concise Vision and Mision to the Lasallian Partners.
In addition, Br. Bernie briefly talked about the Lasallian CARES’ (Community Appreciation
& Reflective Study) Visiting Team, the Grand Raffle Extravaganza for the Emerald Anniversary, the re-launching of the Lasallian Partners’ Wellness and Interest Clubs on August 2, and the Lasallian Earth Day (LED) which is celebrated every first Friday of the month.

Br. Bernie concluded his talk with a music video presentation that conveys the power of prayer and feeling God’s favor and protection in the midst of darkness.
