Table Tennis Team Emerge Victorious in the 12th Uni-Orient National Interscholastic Table Tennis Cup

Once again, our very own DLSZ Boys Table Tennis Team prove that they are the best high school team in the country as they defend their crown in the recently concluded 12th Uni-Orient National Interscholastic Table Tennis Cup held last March 18-19, 2017 at San Beda College, Manila.
Our high school boys team won a very tough match in the semi-final round against last year’s first runner-up San Beda, which gave them a ticket to play for the championship round. In the final round, the team face Royal Paddle Table Tennis Club, a team composed of the best players from Mindanao and Visayas. The fourth player of our team, Neo Angelo Laudato (DLSZ 2021) did an amazing performance by bringing the game to the fifth set after being nailed by two sets in the beginning of the match. Neo, gave all his best to get every single point until he won the last set which gave the team to be hailed as back-to-back champion of the said tournament.
On the other ever event, our High School Girls won second runner-up in the High School Girls Open Division.
The tournament was one of the most awaited tournament every year and participated by more than 200 teams all over the country. The DLSZ Paddlers was headed by Coach Jay-R Beterbo and Coach Adolfo Glorioso Jr.
The following are the members of the winning team:
