Microsoft, thru its Worldwide Lead for Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts (MIEE) and Education, Sonja Delafosse, recognizes De La Salle Santiago Zobel School as a Showcase School this 2016. This recognition is given to schools that are considered as the “best of the best in education transformation” in Asia and worldwide.
DLSZ was selected as a Showcase School in recognition of its transformative way of utilizing technology in its curriculum, as evident in the implementation of the Next Generation Blended Learning (NxGBL)–blending face-to-face instruction, multimedia and mobile devices to enable dynamic and personalized learning processes so that students will be able to develop innovation skills.
With this recognition, the school hopes to continue to keep the standards of Education Technology at par with global standards so we can continue forming lifelong learners who are reflective, creative, critical thinkers, and problem solvers in a transformative and innovative learning environment.
DLSZ received this recognition alongside La Salle Green Hills and Asia Pacific College.
As a Showcase School, DLSZ receives support and opportunities from Microsoft to share innovation in teaching and learning among globally recognized schools.
Apart from the aforementioned award, two of our Lasallian Partners–Ms. Emelita Baylon and Mr. Symbol Fabellon, High School Science Teacher–were granted Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert Certification last December 2015.
