DLSZ GEM Mathletes Shine in MATHinding Kompetisyon 2023

The talented mathletes from De La Salle Santiago Zobel (DLSZ) Goals for Excellence in Mathematics (GEM) once again demonstrated their exceptional problem-solving skills, securing 1st and 2nd place in the prestigious Math Educators’ Circle (MEC) – MATHinding Kompetisyon 2023 held last December 2, 2023 at the St. Scholastica’s Academy, Marikina City.

A total of 31 teams from 16 schools nationwide participated in this intense battle of mathematical wits Each team, consisting of four students from different grade levels, faced the challenge in two rounds – an individual written elimination round and a team oral final round. The top 15 teams with the highest scores in the elimination round advanced to the final round and competed against each other.

In this arena of intellectual prowess, the GEM mathletes showcased unparalleled teamwork and extraordinary mathematical skills.l The GEM mathletes are the following:

The dedication shown by these mathletes, along with the support of the DLSZ community and the guidance of the dedicated GEM coaches, is truly inspiring.

As the GEM mathletes celebrate their well-deserved victory, they carry with them the torch of excellence and the spirit of dedication, paving the way for bigger and more significant competitions. With each triumph, they not only showcase their abilities but also leave behind a legacy of mathematical brilliance at DLSZ.
