Elijah Felice Rosales of BRAFENHS Bags Bronze Medal in Journalism Training Seminar-Contest

Congratulations to Elijah Felice Rosales (DLSZ BRAFENHS 2013) for placing third in the News Writing Category during the 9^th NCR-Wide Journalism Training Seminar-Contest dubbed as Liyab ’11.
Elijah is currently a fourth year student of the Br. Rafael Donato FSC Night High School (BRAFENHS)and a staff of Luntiang Binhi, the school’s official student publication.
More than 30 schools in the region attended the said event which was held at the Philippine Normal University (PNU) last September 14-17, 2011. The two-day seminar highlighted news, features, editorial, copyreading and headlining, sports writing, and editorial cartooning discussions and contests with the theme, “Kabataang Manunulat: Tagapagtaguyod ng Makabago’t Makabayang Pamamahayag”.
Moreover, Torch Publications, PNU’s official student publication conducts the seminar annually to develop the students’ journalistic writing skills in different genres.
The seminar topics also covered short story writing, libel and ethics, layouting, photojournalism, campus paper management and media situation.
Kudos to the moderator of Luntiang Binhi, Mr. Mark Anthony V. Bercando, who trained and accompanied the ten student-writers to Liyab ‘11.
