Beryl Tan (DLSZ 2012) Grabs 2nd Place in Economics Quiz Bee

Congratulations to Beryl Tan of Sr. D for winning 2nd place in the Economics Quiz Bee contest, one of the main highlights of the  8th National Youth Congress (NYC).  Held in UP Diliman last August  27, 2011, the contest was participated in by around 20 reputable schools from Metro Manila.  
This year’s NYC theme, “Thinkonomics:  The Marketplace of Perceptions”, focused  on the emerging field of Behavioral Economics  which puts economics and psychology side by side in understanding how people make economic decisions based on rationality and places the human being as an economic entity.  It also aimed at making participants understand that every economic decision will inevitably affect society.
The NYC is an annual activity of the UP Economics Society.
