DLSZ Junior Tankers Varsity Swimmers Shine at Asian Open School Invitational in Thailand
Members of the DLSZ Junior Tankers proudly represented the Philippines as part of Patriot Philippines at the 3rd Asian Open School Invitational (AOSI) Short Course (SCM) Swimming Championships Bangkok 2026, from August 29–30, 2026, at the Assumption University Aquatic Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
The prestigious international invitational gathered 820 athletes from 16 countries, giving the young swimmers the opportunity to compete against some of the region’s best.
Leading the delegation, Therese Annika Quinto (DLSZ 2029) was named Most Outstanding Swimmer, 1st Place in the 15-year-old category.
Clara Ailaham Maligat (DLSZ 2030) likewise earned the distinction of Most Outstanding Swimmer (2nd Place) in the 15-year-old category, even securing a new record in the 200-M Butterfly.
In the 16-year-old category, Amielle Anika Eugenio (DLSZ 2028) also delivered a strong performance, securing top achievements, close to earning Most Outstanding Swimmer rankings.
The rest of the DLSZ Junior Tankers also contributed to the team’s outstanding international showing, earning medals across various individual events and the gold-medal-winning 4×50-M Freestyle Relay.
The athletes’ remarkable achievements reflect their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport. More importantly, the competition marked another proud moment as these young Filipino swimmers carried the Philippine flag on the international stage.
