With the energy at an all-time high, the cheers loud and the teams ready– the Lasallian spirit was on full display as the Pep Rally 2026 brought the school community together on September 17, 2026 at the Sports Pavilion, Alabang Campus.

Centered on the theme “Ignite Greatness: Be the Spark, Take the Lead,” the event put the spotlight on DLSZ student-athletes as they prepared to represent the school in the season ahead.

More than a showcase of teams, the Pep Rally 2026 was a celebration of the athletes’ dedication, hard work, and commitment. Behind the event were the Lasallian Formation and Mission Department, Sports Development Office, De La Salle Zobel Alumni Association (DLSZAA), coaches, and student-athletes, whose efforts helped make the occasion a memorable one for the community.

The program kicked off with the Parade of Teams, as student-athletes made their way into the venue representing their respective sports. Their presence filled the Sports Pavilion with excitement and immediately set an energetic tone for the day. 

The Opening Prayer, followed by the National Anthem, brought the community together in a more solemn moment, reflecting gratitude, unity, and school pride.

Mr. Rafael Reloza, Senior Vice President, officially opened the program, acknowledging the athletes, coaches, parents, and members of the DLSZ community gathered to support the teams.

A Lasallian Message by Ms. Geriz Bigol, Lasallian Formation and Mission Department Director, followed, reminding the athletes that representing the school goes beyond competition. Discipline, accountability, and service are just as important as performance on the court or field. They were called to “play to serve,” using their talents to make a difference through sports.

The athletes then took their Pledge of Commitment, affirming their dedication to representing the school with pride and responsibility. The pledge underscored their commitment to give their best while upholding the school’s values.

Thereafter, the crowd was treated to an intermission number by the Animo  Squad, bringing traditional Lasallian cheers to life with high-energy stunts and precision. The performance kept the atmosphere lively as the audience continued to cheer and celebrate the student-athletes.

As the program neared its end, Dr. Ruby Ramos delivered the Closing Remarks and Send-off Message through a video, offering the athletes words of encouragement as they face upcoming challenges this season. The message reminded them that every practice, game, and competition is an opportunity to embody the Lasallian spirit. 

The Closing Prayer gave everyone a final moment of reflection before the event concluded with the Alma Mater Hymn. The community stood together once more, closing the celebration on a note of unity and school pride.

Guiding the audience throughout the program were Coach Cubes Escol and Coach Feliciano Pantaleon, who served as the Masters of Ceremonies.

The DLSZ Pep Rally 2026 gave the student-athletes more than a stage to be seen. It brought together a community ready to cheer them on, with families, coaches, and supporters standing behind them, while reminding them to ignite greatness, be the spark, and take the lead.

With the spark lit and the Animo alive, the DLSZ athletes are ready to step into the season and lead with pride.
