The DLSZ Edge: Pathways to the Country’s Top Universities
Choosing a school is more than just deciding where to spend the next few years. It is about choosing a learning journey that prepares students for success long after graduation.
As part of the De La Salle Philippines network, De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) is committed to ensuring that its students transition seamlessly into higher education with a distinct competitive advantage. Through strategic partnerships with leading Lasallian universities, DLSZ provides qualified graduates with exclusive pathways that offer streamlined admissions, academic recognition, and early exposure to university-level learning. These opportunities empower students to begin their college journey with greater confidence, enhanced preparedness, and a meaningful head start.
A Direct Pathway to College through De La Salle University (DLSU) ConnectEd
One of DLSZ’s strongest institutional partnerships is with DLSU through the ConnectEd Program, which recognizes the quality and rigor of DLSZ’s Senior High School (SHS) curriculum by certifying selected SHS subjects for possible college credit.
Through the said program, DLSZ SHS students enjoy a direct route to DLSU. Qualified students begin by taking the DLSU Senior High Admissions and Placement Examination (DSHAPE). Those who pass receive automatic acceptance into eligible DLSU programs without taking the DLSU College Admission Test (DCAT). Students interested in other programs outside those indicated in their pre-qualification may still take the DCAT.
Beyond admission, ConnectEd grants credit for selected DLSZ SHS subjects, delivering immediate tuition savings and a reduced academic load.
A Green Lane to De La Salle – College of Benilde (DLS-CSB)
DLSZ SHS graduates also enjoy access to the Green Lane initiative of DLS-CSB. This simplifies admission for qualified graduates by waiving the Benilde Entrance Examination (BEE) for students who meet the required SHS Grade Point Average (GPA) for board and non-board degree programs.
Further, selected SHS subjects completed at DLSZ are recognized as equivalent to institutional undergraduate courses at DLS-CSB. This institutional crediting allows students to reduce their academic load in college, giving them greater flexibility to focus on specialized courses and career preparation while also reducing educational costs.
Streamlining the Tertiary Transition with De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) UPLINKED
DLSZ is currently exploring another promising pathway for Senior High School students through the proposed Upgraded and Linked to Tertiary Education (UPLINKED) Program of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas. Designed to strengthen the connection between SHS and university education, this program recognizes that many foundational college competencies are already developed through the K to 12 curriculum.
Initial discussions between DLSZ and DLSU-D have identified Accountancy and Biology as potential pathway programs, with the STEM and ABM/BE strands serving as feeder tracks. Selected SHS subjects are currently under review for possible credit transfer, subject to curriculum alignment and formal evaluation.
Once finalized, the partnership may provide qualified DLSZ students with opportunities for streamlined admissions, possible college crediting, reduced academic load, and early exposure to university-level learning. This initiative reflects the school’s continuing commitment to creating meaningful pathways that prepare students not only for graduation but also for success in higher education and future careers.
At DLSZ, every learner deserves the chance to step into their future with confidence–supported by an accessible Lasallian education that opens doors, creates opportunities, and paves the way for lifelong success.
