Congratulations to the DLSZ Badminton Team for their outstanding achievement at the Guam-Philippines Invitational Badminton Challenge, held from April 21-27, 2026, in Guam, USA.

The team proudly represented the school on the international stage, delivering an outstanding performance against some of the Pacific region’s most competitive athletes. The week-long tournament featured strong contenders, particularly from the Guam and Saipan National Teams, both recognized for their growing badminton programs. Despite the intense matches, the Lasallian athletes swept the majority of the awards in both the Juniors and Open Class categories.

In the U16 division, Jed Fabia (DLSZ 2029) led the charge by securing the Boys Singles Championship, with Louis Lim (DLSZ 2031) finishing as 1st Runner Up. Jed, together with Gabe Lozare (DLSZ 2029), also captured the Boys Doubles Championship title, further cementing their dominance in the category. The pair of Rey Cerilles (DLSZ 2029) and Louis claimed 1st Runner Up in Boys Doubles, while Rey and Gabbie Sonza (DLSZ 2028) added to the medal haul with a 1st Runner Up finish in Mixed Doubles.

The Open Class categories have equally impressive performances from DLSZ athletes. Jed clinched the Men’s Singles Championship and later teamed up with Gabe to secure 1st Runner Up in Men’s Doubles. In Mixed Doubles, Jed also delivered a championship-winning performance, while Pia Bautista (DLSZ 2031) also emerged as Champion in the Women’s Doubles category, showcasing the team’s strength across multiple events.

The team’s success not only underscores their athletic excellence but also reflects the school’s commitment to developing competitive and well-rounded student-athletes. With the guidance and dedication of Coach Eric Bautista, this achievement brings great pride and inspiration to the entire DLSZ community.
