Congratulations to the DLSZ Mathletes for clinching 1st Runner Up at the prestigious AGIMATH 2026: LSGH Annual Group Interscholastic Math Competition held on January 21, 2026 at the Br.Rafael S. Donato FSC Center for the Performing Arts, La Salle Green Hills, Mandaluyong City.
The event brought together the sharpest young minds in the National Capital Region. The competition was fierce, featuring a field of more than 30 teams representing 25 different schools.
The winning team was composed of Jacob Bernas (DLSZ 2026), Juan Sebastian Viernes (DLSZ 2026), and Julia Bernadette Cruz (DLSZ 2026). These students showcased not only their individual mathematical talents but also the cohesive teamwork necessary to excel in such a high-stakes environment.
The depth of the school’s talent was on full display during the elimination round. Only the top eight (8) teams proceeded to the Final Round, and DLSZ successfully qualified two (2) teams for this championship stage despite the intense pressure.
Teams from the Philippine Science High School – Main Campus and MGC New Life Christian Academy garnered first and third place, respectively.
Beyond the team accolades, they also dominated the written elimination round, with four (4) students placing in the top three (3) of their respective categories:
The school also recognizes the exceptional performance of its entire delegation, comprising of Matthew Angelo Roallos (DLSZ 2027), Hyewon Lee (DLSZ 2027), Kervin Sebastian Dominguez (DLSZ 2027) and Enrique Armando Ilas (DLSZ 2027). Their hard work and dedication were instrumental in our school’s strong showing.
These math wizards’ remarkable accomplishment brings great honor to the Lasallian community and further inspires anticipation of greater successes ahead.
