Congratulations to Gavin Isaiah Gacusan (DLSZ 2035) for winning the Bronze Award at the World International Mathematical Olympiad (WIMO) 2025, held on January 2–5, 2026, at The University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, China.
Gavin, our very own GEM Mathlete, proudly represented the Philippines as one of the 52 Philippine delegates, showcasing excellence and determination in the global Battle of Golds alongside the world’s best young mathematicians.
Along with other delegates, he earned the honor of representing the country after securing Gold Awards in the Big Bay Bei Finals, Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) Finals, and Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO) Finals. This rigorous qualification process ensured that only the most outstanding and high-performing students advanced to the global WIMO stage.
This remarkable accomplishment brings pride to his family, school, and the country, proving once again that Filipino students can excel on the world stage. Gavin’s success serves as an inspiration to fellow students and aspiring Mathletes to pursue academic excellence and embrace challenges with confidence and determination.
Animo La Salle!
