DLSZ Triathlon Team Claims Podium Honors at 2025 NTT AST Subic Bay Asia Cup

Congratulations to our DLSZ Triathlon Team for earning well-deserved podium finishes at the 2025 NTT AST Subic Bay Asia Cup held last May 3-4, 2025, at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City. Competing against top young athletes and seasoned veterans across Asia, our student athletes gave it their all, showing heart, discipline, and true Animo spirit on the international stage.
Oliver Kurt Alingarog (DLSZ 2032)
2nd Runner-Up, STK Boys 11–12
Kurt showed maturity and grit as he finished in the STK Boys 11–12 category. Executing a well-paced race strategy, he powered through the 400m swim in 8 minutes and 21 seconds (pace: 2:05 per 100m), kept steady on the 8km bike course with a split of 18:51 (25.5 kph), and closed strong with a 2km run in 8:57 (4:29 min/km). With a total time of 37:32, Kurt showcased consistency, composure, and heart under pressure.
Enrique Jose De La Rosa (DLSZ 2034)
2nd Runner-Up, STK Boys 9–10
Enrique delivered a breakout performance to earn the title in the STK Boys 9–10 category. He started strong with a 200m swim in 4:57 (2:29 per 100m), then dominated the bike leg with the fastest bike split in his category, completing 6km in 15:59 (22.5 kph). He wrapped up the race with a solid 1km run in 5:31 (5:31 min/km). Enrique clocked a total time of 28:24, showing both speed and race awareness beyond his years.
Coach Noel Salvador
1st Runner-Up, Legends Super Sprint
Coach Noel proved he is not just a mentor from the sidelines but a competitive force in his own right. Racing in the Legends Super Sprint category, he swam 500m in 12:30 (2:30 per 100m), crushed the 10km bike leg in just 18:28 (32.5 kph), and pushed through the 2km run in 11:16 (5:38 min/km). With a total time of 44:03, Coach Noel earned the 1st runner-up spot, leading by example and proving that experience and passion always find the podium.

DLSZ Triathlon Team Captain Closes Era with Back-To-Back Podium Wins

Congratulations to our DLSZ Triathlon Team Captain, Gabrielle Vera Guevara (DLSZ 2025), for her impressive podium finishes at the 2025 My Daily Collagen Triathlon held last March 9, 2025, at Subic Bay Freeport and the 2025 Clark Duathlon Classic held last March 15, 2025, at Filinvest Mimosa+ Leisure City, Clark, Pampanga.
Vera finished with the following awards:
Champion, 2025 My Daily Collagen Triathlon Sprint Women Age Group 16–19
1st Runner Up, 2025 My Daily Collagen Triathlon Overall Sprint Women
1st Runner Up, 2025 Clark Duathlon Classic Sprint Women Age Group 15–19
The Vera Podium Streak took center stage in back-to-back multisport weekends- at the 2025 My Daily Collagen Triathlon, Vera conquered the Sprint Distance in dominant form with a total time of 1:30:19. She covered the 750m swim in 17:38, averaging 2:21 per 100m; powered through the 20km bike leg in 43:17, clocking in an average speed of 27.7 kph; and finished the 5km run in 29:24, pacing at 5:53 min/km. Her performance earned her the Champion title in the 16–19 Women’s Age Group and 1st Runner Up Overall among all Sprint Women competitors.
Just six (6) days later, Vera showcased her consistency at the 2025 Clark Duathlon Classic. She posted a total time of 1:39:48 across the Sprint Duathlon format (5km run – 20km bike – 2.5km run). Her first run split of 28:28 translated to a 5:42 min/km pace, followed by a 20km bike leg of 52:55 at an average speed of 22.7 kph, and capped off her race with a 16:15 finish in the 2.5km run, pacing 6:30 min/km. This strong performance secured her the 1st Runner Up title in the 15–19 Women’s Age Group.
This race marked the final chapter of Vera’s journey as Team Captain of the DLSZ Triathlon Team. Her legacy as a fierce competitor and a consistent podium performer will continue to inspire future generations of Lasallian triathletes. Bravo, Vera! You finished your DLSZ chapter as a true champion.
