
Congratulations to Kieffer Louie Alas (DLSZ 2026) for being named the UAAP Season 87 (High School Boys’ Basketball) Most Valuable Player!
Kieffer ended the season with an outstanding 91.429 Statistical Points, averaging 20.07 points, 11.14 rebounds, 4.93 assists, and 1.07 steals per game over 14 outings. His remarkable performance made him the top Filipino performer in the Statistical Points (SPs) race at the end of the UAAP elimination round.
“The Lasallian education has taught me to have faith no matter what the outcome is. Everything depends on God’s perfect timing.” He also shared that being part of the Lasallian community has shaped his growth and maturity, teaching him to be braver and to take more risks—“Take the risk or lose the chance,” he added.
As a homegrown DLSZ athlete, Kieffer’s journey and faith-driven mindset are truly inspiring. Together with the DLSZ High School Basketball Team, they wrapped up Season 87 tied for fifth with the University of the East at 6-8, finishing just behind defending champion Adamson (7-7).
