Enrique Jose De La Rosa (DLSZ 2034)
Champion Finish, 6-8 Kids Duathlon Male Category
Enrique displayed remarkable tenacity and skill, clocking an exceptional total time of 6:11. His split times highlight his outstanding performance: 1:37 for the first 200m run, 3:19 for the 1km bike, and 1:21 for the final 200m run. Enrique’s ability to overtake the race leader during the final stretch exemplifies his competitive spirit and determination. His victory is a testament to his hard work and dedication, setting a high standard for future races.
Gabrielle Vera Guevara (DLSZ 2024), Team Captain
1st runner-up, 16-19 Super Duathlon Female Category
Gabrielle completed the grueling race with a total time of 1:19:01, earning her a well-deserved podium finish. Her race consisted of a 3km run in 17:03 minutes, a 20km bike ride in 42:37 minutes, and a final 3km run in 19:20 minutes. Gabrielle’s consistent and strategic performance demonstrated her leadership and commitment to the sport. Her success is a testament to her hard work and exemplary skills.
Oliver Kurt Alingarog (DLSZ 2032)
1st runner-up, 9-10 Kids Duathlon Male Category
Kurt completed the race with a total time of 11:49 minutes, achieving impressive splits: 2:29 minutes for the first 500 meters run, 6:54 minutes for the 2.5km bike segment, and 2:26 minutes for the final 500 meters run. Kurt’s exceptional running splits were the fastest in his age category, showcasing his speed and endurance.
We also extend our congratulations to Tayshawn Caleb Carlos (DLSZ 2027), Inigo Sebastian Souza (DLSZ 2028), and Joaquin Diego Villaflor (DLSZ 2028) for their strong debut race performances in the 13-15 Teens Category. Their impressive finishes in their first race with the DLSZ Triathlon Team set a promising foundation for their future in the sport.

Looking ahead, the DLSZ Triathlon Team is gearing up for an exciting and challenging season. Our athletes are intensifying their training as they prepare to compete in the National Age Group Aquathlon (NAGA) on September 29, 2024. The dedication and hard work of our team members are sure to lead to more success in the upcoming competitions.
