DLSZ Robotics Elite Team Wins Silver in World Robot Games 2024, Thailand

The DLSZ Robotics Elite Team members participated in the World Robot Games – Thailand 2024 last August 2 to 4, 2024 at The Hub Rangsit, Pathum Thani, Thailand.  

Representing the country, they participated in the iBeam Junior, One Minute Game: Move the Can and Innovative Category and competed against 200 participants and 35 teams, respectively.   

Under the theme “Additive Manufacturing,” our DLSZ students presented their VIATA and 360 Solar Panel projects as their official entries to this competition. VIATA (1st Runner-up) is an assistive technology that helps the visually impaired to enjoy museum arts. On the other hand, the Solar Panel (2nd runner-Up) project features solar panels that adjust to the sun’s position. 

“Their success is a testament to the transformative power of creativity and technology” as shared by the Data Science and Technology Corporation– DLSZ’s partner, in  joining Robotics-related competitions and programs.

The following students garnered the highest awards  in each category:

Innovative Category:
1st Runner-up:

  • Sarah Sophia Cabodil (DLSZ 2029)
  • Juan Rafael Hapin (DLSZ 2030)

2nd Runner-up:

  • Markus Timothy Belleza  (DLSZ 2032)
  • Sebastien Grey Despi (DLSZ 2031)

  • Juan Rafael Hapin (DLSZ 2030)
