The DLSZ 13-Under (2010 Born) Basketball Team took home 2nd Runner-up in the 14U Inter Scholastic Sports Association (ISSA) Basketball tournament, with a final score of 74 – 52 vs Collegio de San Agustin (CSA) last January 27, 2024, at Xavier School, San Juan City.
Despite their younger age, these 13-year-old players with a few select 14-Under boys bravely embraced the challenge of competing in a higher age category and successfully clinched a podium finish with the guidance of Head Coach Lance Ingco and Assistant Coach Mark Porlahe.
The team was led by Wayne Rivera’s 18 points, JD Mindanao’s 16 points, and Isaac Purugganan’s 15 points.
Congratulations to the team for tackling greater challenges and achieving this remarkable success! Animo!
