The DLSZ Robotics Elite Team (DLSZ-RET) has set the bar high with their performance during the DOST-CALABARZON Inaugural Robot Sports Event, RoboClash 2023, securing a noteworthy second place in the 1kg sumobot competition held last September 12 and 19, respectively.
The team, comprising Ethan Francis Arceo (DLSZ 2027), Javier Alejandro Cuyno (DLSZ 2025), and Chito Roxas Jr. (DLSZ 2027), triumphed over 36 schools from Cavite during the preliminary round held on September 12, 2023, at SM City, San Pablo Laguna. They continued their winning streak and proudly represented the Cavite province.
The final showdown took place on September 19, 2023, at the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, where the Robotics Elite Team emerged victorious, securing their well-deserved second-place finish and a spot on the podium.
The RoboClash 2023 event is organized by the Department of Science and Technology Region IV-A in partnership with the Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) and Ideation, Design and Development Technology (IDD) that aims to showcase the participants’ skills in programming, robot designing, and control systems. It also aims to bring together faculty, students, and enthusiasts across the region.
