[UPDATED] Candice Alexie Udal (DLSZ BRafeNHS 2025), the power forward/point center and Kyla Marie Mataga (DLSZ 2023), the Team Captain of the DLSZ High School Girls Basketball Team played under the Team Buckets last May 21, 2023, at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City. They won against Team Stars- in which Megan Soriano (DLSZ BRafeNHS 2024), the super rookie of the High School Girls Basketball Team also played in the all-star game under Team Stars.
Candice, Kyla, and Megan were also featured in SLAM Magazine’s post on “SLAM RISING STARS.” They were selected as 3 of the Top 24 High School Female Ballers in the country.
Kieffer Louie Alas (DLSZ 2026), the super guard of the Juniors Basketball Team was part of Team Punks, the winning team, and Rhyle Richard Melencio (DLSZ BRafeNHS 2023), the superstar and the rebounding machine of the DLSZ Juniors Basketball Team also played in the all–star game under Team Hype. The two ballers were selected as 2 of the Top 24 Ballers in the country.
The recognition in SLAM Magazine further validates these athletes’ potential and skills as they continue to make waves in the basketball community. Their dedication and talent serve as an inspiration to the entire DLSZ community.
