Tyrhone James Quinto Tabernilla (DLSZ 2026) finished tied for 5th place and landed 8th place out of 29 participants; and was also named as the TOP YOUTH under-16 in the 2nd FIDE Rated Chess Tournament, an Open Chess tournament organized by National Chess Federation of the Philippines, held at the Philippine Academy for Chess Excellence in Quezon City last February 25-27, 2022.
Aside from the aforementioned awards, Tyrhone got an additional 48.8 international rating points.
Tyrhone is a member of DLSZ Varsity Chess Team.
