DLSZ Juniors Chess Team bagged seven (7) gold and two (2) silver medals in the concluded 2020 PAYA Online Chess Tournament. The team is composed by Team Captain Jethro Dino Cordero Aquino (DLSZ 2022), Co-Captain Joaquin Nicholas Chan De Guzman (DLSZ 2022), Angele Tenshi Tristeza Biete (DLSZ 2024), Tyrhone James Quinto Tabernilla (DLSZ 2026), and Jefferson Danilo Gonzalez Villarin (DLSZ 2024).
Individual Board Medalist:
Board 1 – Jethro Dino Cordero Aquino – Silver
Board 2 – Angele Tenshi Tristeza Biete – Gold
Board 3 – Tyrhone James Quinto Tabernilla – Gold
Board 5 – Joaquin Nicholas Chan De Guzman – Silver
The DLSZ team B fell short and finished 7th place. The team is composed by Nathaniel Dale Siguan Crisaldo (DLSZ 2022), Theresa Enrica Lio Limgenco (DLSZ 2022), Michael John Cardoso Dogelio (DLSZ BRafeNHS 2026), and Nathan Joseph Upod Navarro (DLSZ BRafeNHS 2025).
On the other hand, the midget’s division finished 5th place bagging two individual medals.

Board 5 – Francesca Violet Vitalez Icay (DLSZ 2028) – Bronze
