The Arts and Design of Grade 11 proudly presents PARALUMAN, a monologue anthology consisting of five episodes with diverse and unique style of making literature through monologues. Despite the current circumstances in these pandemic times, the class is challenged towards acting, editing, media work, writing, and marketing through social media at the comfort of their homes.
This project will be releasing five (5) episodes starting September 23, 2020, on our YouTube channel: Paraluman, and we will be promoting and announcing each episode which include marketing time for the chosen beneficiaries on our Instagram: @paralumandlsz. Each of them will have different themes based on the original monologues written by the class particularly on fantasy, problems in our daily lives, and the social issues. This under the supervision and integration of the subjects Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions, under the tutelage of Mr. Marlon Fernandez, and Creative Industries 1, under Mr. Rolando Badocdoc Jr.
Our team is not designed to collect donations but a means to advertise beneficiaries straight through their bank accounts. We hope that with this project we will be able to help the following beneficiaries marketing:
- Tatay Henry Blacer and his son Justin Blacer are in need of financial help. Tatay henry is diabetic and has developed a blood and kidney sepsis, his bill is currently 300k and is still continuing to increase. His son Justin is a special child, he has cerebral palsy and cannot walk or talk and can only eat liquid food. None of their family members have a job because of COVID-19.
- ALCADEV Lumad School is a community-run Lumad School in Surigao del Sur that aims to educate and teach the people there to maximize the use of their lands
- Atom is an organization that aims to help art students that are in need of financial assistance for their online education
- Love acts is a charity organization to help raise funds for the less fortunate students for the supplies that they’ll be needing for their online school.
- Cleo Farinas is a cancer patient, she has a tumor behind her ear which has metastasized to her breasts, arms, and lymph nodes. Her father was an OFW who spent his life saving up for his family but because of Cleo’s condition, they have used up all their money. She is in need of financial support in order to pay for her medication because due to her father’s old age and COVID-19, he isn’t allowed to work anymore and her family members currently do not have jobs.
With these, we invite you to witness our online monologues to be inspired and give provide donations directly to the beneficiaries. Thank you and prepare your couch to sit back, relax, help, and enjoy the show!
