ZDC Garners Gold Awards and finishes in 1st Place in the Asia Pacific Arts Festival in Singapore

The Zobel Dance Crew (ZDC) 2019-2020 Competition Team excelled in the recent Asia Pacific Arts Festival (APAF) for Dance, held last August 16-19, 2019 at the Capitol Theater, Stamford Road, Singapore receiving two (2) Gold Awards and one (1) Gold Distinction Award, the highest performance award, for their dance presentation in hip hop and folk/ethnic fusion categories.  From among the finalists, ZDC finishes at FIRST PLACE at the festival overall Excellence Awards.

Congratulations Zobel Dance Crew! The group is led by moderator, Mr. Mark Mendoza, and trained by artist-in-residence, Ms. Mary Chris “Coach Mycs” Villloso under the Cultural Affairs Office.  The Asia Pacific Arts Festival was participated by over 250 students from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore.  It aims to pursue harmony, peace and global friendship through diversified cultural exchange and performing arts competitions.
