De La Salle Santiago Zobel School warmly congratulates Sophia Bianca C. De Vera (DLSZ 2019) for waving the Philippine and DLSZ flags in the recently concluded World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) 2018 on July 6-14 in Long Beach, California, U.S.A.
Sophia competed in the Vocal Competition of the Senior Division where she wowed the audience with her electrifying rendition of Jessie J’s Momma Knows Best during the grand championship final round. She received two silver medals and a gold for reaching the Grand Championship Level as Senior Voice Vocals.
Now on its 22nd year, the only Olympic-style international championship event for performing arts welcomed world-class talents from more than sixty countries including the Philippines vying for the coveted awards in singing, dancing, acting, modeling, and playing instruments with two major divisions namely Junior and Senior.
Highlights of the global meet are the World Stars Boot Camp, Opening Ceremony, and much-awaited Parade of Nations where the Philippines snitched the First Place Award.
The DLSZ community is very proud of you! Animo La Salle!
