Congratulations to Aldrich Johan Kimwell (DLSZ 2027), Joshua Milan (DLSZ 2027), Emmanuel Jace Savellano (DLSZ 2027), Julia Bernadette Cruz (2026), Rachelle Victoria Guintivano (2026), Chae Eun Jang (DLSZ 2025), and Athena Gabrielle Kimwell (DLSZ 2025) for winning Bronze Awards in the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) held in Makati Hope Christian High School last Aril 8, 2017.
Created in 2006, SASMO is one of largest math contests in Asia. It has expanded from 155 Singaporean participants in 2006 to more than 20 000 participants from 19 countries in SASMO 2016. This 2017, eleven of our students from the Grade School Department competed with not only students from our country but also with students from countries like Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Hongkong, to name a few. Seven of them got bronze awards and are eligible for selection to compete in the Singapore Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) 2017 to be held in Singapore from July 14 to 17.
All of the winners came from the Goals for Excellence in Mathematics (GEM) Program under the Grade School Department.
