Ms. Leah Marie Tumlos-Castillo, High School Social Studies Coordinator, has presented two research papers during a Parallel Technical Session on Learners and Learning Innovations in De La Salle University for the 2015 Research Congress on March 3, 2015.
Her two papers are entitled “Performance of DLSZ Students in the National Achievement Test (NAT) in Araling Panlipunan: Does Language Matter?” and “Initial Evaluation of the Understanding by Design (UbD) Framework in Writing Learning Modules”. The former was written with Ms. Emelita Baylon, High School Social Studies Teacher.
Ms. Leah hopes to “inspire others, especially the faculty, to further improve classroom instruction through research”. A DLSU researcher has already approached her because her research on NAT has inspired the researcher to conduct a similar study in other regions.
