De La Salle Santiago Zobel School extends its heart-felt THANK YOU to all those who have, in one way or another, contributed to the DLSZ Disaster Relief Operations for the Victims of Typhoon Maring.
DLSZ stands awed and at the same time inspired by the influx of help and support in the form of monetary and in-kind donations, and the selfless rendering of voluntary work from the different sectors of the Lasallian community and from the residents of nearby communities during its Relief Operations for the Victims of Typhoon Maring.
As of August 27, 2013, DLSZ has served over 5,500 families donating goods consisting of rice, noodles, milk packs, biscuits, assorted canned goods, mineral water, Binalot dinners, hygiene kits, family packs and old clothes to calamity-ridden areas in Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Laguna, Las Piñas, Cavite and Manila.
Typhoon Maring may have destroyed homes and displaced families but it failed to crush the spirit of giving among individuals, young and old. Instead, this calamity has awakened and ignited the spirit of “bayanihanâ€, generosity, and volunteerism among the students, parents, alumni, employees, and even total strangers who never counted the money, time, and efforts they have put in during the Relief Operations.
Below is the summarized report on DLSZ’s Disaster Relief Operations:
