In the recently concluded Palarong Pambansa 2011, De La Salle Santiago Zobel (DLSZ) athlete delegates got a total of four gold and a bronze medal in team and individual competitions. Held from May 8 to 14, 2011 in Dapitan City, the Palaro  was hosted by Jose Rizal State University.
DLSZ athletes garnered the following achievements:Â
- DLSZ HS Baseball Team with two imports from Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) bagged a gold medal in the HS Baseball event. They got the rare back to back championships in the Palarong Pambansa.
- Boris Sumabat won three gold medals in the individual and doubles category of the GS Badminton event. This marks an incredible achievement in his rookie year in the said event.
- Camila Sta. Ana won the bronze medal in the Sparring competition of the GS Taekwondo event.
Palarong Pambansa, which was set by the Department of Education, is an annual event participated by the country’s top elementary and high school athletes. An estimate of 600 athletes together with the school officials per region was able to participate in this year’s Palaro.
