DLSZ Mathletes Celebrate Excellence at PhIMO 2026
The De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) Mathletes proudly showcased their mathematical excellence at the recent 2026 Philippine International Mathematics Olympiad (PhIMO) Final Rounds, held from September 4 to 7, 2026 in Hilton Crest Sun Valley Resort, Clark, Pampanga.
They earned a total of 42 awards, including 15 Gold, 12 Silver, and 15 Bronze Medals, as well as two (2) Merit Certificates.
This year’s PhIMO had an exciting dinosaur theme that made the event more fun and engaging for the participants. Students answered different math problems while enjoying dinosaur-inspired decorations, freebies, activities, and challenges.
“My PHIMO Finals 2026 journey was like an adventure in the World of Phimosaurs which was full of excitement and surprises. I felt nervous at times, but I prayed, stayed calm, and did my best. I’m happy with what I achieved and thankful for the fun memories I made with my GEMmates,” said Gabriel Subion (DLSZ 2034).
The event culminated in a remarkable achievement for the school, as it brought home the most medals among all participating schools worldwide.
