DLSZ Strikers Clinch Championship Titles at Inaugural Philippine Junior Golfers League Interschool 2025-2026
Congratulations to the DLSZ Strikers for claiming the Lower and Middle School Division 3 Team Championship, along with multiple Individual Championship Titles in the Inaugural Philippine Junior Golfers League (PJGL) Interschool 2025-2026 last February 21, 2026 at the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club, Cavite.
Trailing throughout the grueling four-leg series, the three-member grade school delegation dug deep with characteristic grit and resilience. In a stunning upset, the team dethroned the heavy favorites Ateneo de Manila University Team 1 in the final round, edging them out 439 to 436 points.
The grade school, comprised of Gloriana Laurel (DLSZ 2035), Maddi San Juan (DLSZ 2032), and Teo Tamayo (DLSZ 2032), competed across acclaimed golf courses including Intramuros Golf Club, Philippine Navy Golf Club, and Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club. Against a field that included Ateneo de Manila, La Salle Greenhills, San Beda University, OB Montessori, Colegio de San Agustin Makati, PAREF Southridge, MGC New Life, Miriam College, and Cambridge, the team demonstrated both skill and composure under pressure.
The team’s triumph was complemented by outstanding individual performances across all levels. Rookie Gloriana Laurel (DLSZ 2035) took home the Lower School Girls Division Individual Championship in her first interschool appearance, while Maddi San Juan (DLSZ 2032) also dominated the Middle School Girls Division and claimed the championship crown. Isaac Dillera (DLSZ 2030) topped the Junior High Division 2, clinching the Individual Champion title.
