Congratulations to the DLSZ Mathletes from the Goals for Excellence in Mathematics (GEM) Program for delivering a commendable performance at the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) X 2026, held from January 16–19, 2026, in Bali, Indonesia.
This year’s competition brought together delegates from eleven countries, including Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, Australia, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Mongolia, Cambodia, Uzbekistan, Singapore, and the Philippines. The top 40% of participants in the local round advanced to represent their region in the extended round.
Theo Alonzo Buiser (DLSZ 2036) emerged as a top performer among 199 competitors, placing second in the Grade 2 (Open Division) category. He was joined by Harmony Chrysa Suarez (DLSZ 2036) and Akeem Sarapuddin (DLSZ 2037), who both received Merit Awards, while John Elkan Bautista (DLSZ 2036) earned a Credit Award.
