De La Salle Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ) and Akari-NxLED officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on September 16, 2025, at the Alabang Campus, solidifying a partnership that will further elevate the school’s football facilities.
Through this collaboration, Akari-NxLED will donate high-quality and durable lighting equipment, designed to meet FIFA standards, to illuminate the DLSZ Julius Caesar K. Quiambao Football Field. This donation underscores Akari-NxLED’s commitment to supporting youth development and sports excellence by ensuring that student-athletes have access to world-class facilities.
Representing Akari-NxLED during the signing were Mr. Russell Balbacal, Akari Sports Sporting Director, and Mr. Gian Carlo Go, Akari Sports General Manager, while Mr. Rafael Javier Reloza, Senior Vice President, signed on behalf of DLSZ and Mr. Ricky Sabino, Head of the Advancement and Linkages Office.
The event was also graced by notable guests, including Mr. Joey Marquez (DLSZ 2002) and member of Dugong Berde, a group dedicated to supporting the school’s sports programs, and Mr. Alvin Ocampo, DLSU Football Coach. Their presence highlighted the strong Lasallian community support for initiatives that enhance student-athletes’ opportunities to grow and excel.
“This partnership marks an important step in our continued efforts to provide our students with facilities that match international standards,” shared Mr. Reloza. “With Akari-NxLED’s support, we are not only improving the infrastructure of the Julius Caesar K. Quiambao Football Field but also empowering our athletes to reach their full potential.”
The new lighting system will now allow for extended training hours and evening matches, ensuring that the DLSZ football community can maximize the use of the field for both competitive and developmental purposes.
The MOA signing between DLSZ and Akari-NxLED reflects a shared vision of promoting sports excellence, fostering Lasallian values, and nurturing future champions both on and off the field.
