AGIMATH 2025
The GEM Mathletes soared to success at AGIMATH 2025: Annual Group Interscholastic Math Competition, held on March 14, 2025, at La Salle Green Hills, Mandaluyong City. Battling it out against top-performing teams from across the country, GEM delivered strong performances in the Individual Competition, finishing with an impressive 2nd Place Overall Ranking during the elimination round, just behind Philippine Science High School – Main Campus.
Three standout GEM students earned top individual distinctions:
Julia Bernadette Cruz (DLSZ 2026) claimed the Gold Medal in Algebra, tying for 1st Place with a representative from Philippine Science High School.
Juan Sebastian Viernes (DLSZ 2026) demonstrated outstanding skill in Geometry, winning the Silver Medal and finishing 2nd overall in his category.
Jacob Bernas (DLSZ 2026) dominated the Trigonometry category, earning 1st Place and securing a well-deserved Gold Medal.
These remarkable achievements reinforced GEM’s reputation for academic excellence and mathematical talent.
In the Final Round, the GEM team placed 4th overall, closely following Xavier School, Immaculate Conception Academy, and Philippine Science High School – Main Campus.
AGIMATH remains one of the most prestigious and challenging math competitions in the country, and GEM’s impressive performance is a testament to the hard work, skill, and dedication of its students and mentors.

DLSZ proudly applauds the achievements of our Goals for Excellence in Mathematics (GEM) Mathletes in the recent ASMEPPS National Math Quiz held last March 8, 2025 at Far Eastern University in Silang, Cavite.
Through their hard work and remarkable mathematical prowess, the GEM Mathletes triumphed over thousands of competitors nationwide.

These students competed against the top representatives from NCR, CAR, and Regions III, IV-A, V, VII, IX, and X in the highly competitive ASMEPPS Regional Math and Science Quiz. Despite the tough competition, they demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills, excelling in this prestigious event. This annual competition not only challenges participants academically but also fosters camaraderie among young science and math enthusiasts, providing them with a platform to grow, learn, and connect with like-minded peers.
Their outstanding performance reflects their dedication to excellence and showcases the exceptional skills honed under the guidance of their GEM coaches: Ms. Maricar Berongoy, Mr. Gerard Crisologo, Mr. Albert Morris Pagilagan, Ms. Julienne Fresnido, and Mr. Mark Xyburt John Rodelas.
