Congratulations to the DLSZ Grade School Football Team who played a dominant game (3-1) against PAREF Southridge School in the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Muntinlupa leg held last February 26, 2023, denying the opponent of the home-field advantage. Only two schools represented Muntinlupa.
The team now advances to the Division Meet happening on March 12– the results will determine which team will qualify for the Regional Meet for Palarong Pambansa.
Southridge scored the first goal in the first few minutes of the game but DLSZ came back afterwards, scoring a total of three (3) goals until the end of regulation. Two were scored by Duke Sarmiento and one was an own goal from a corner kick by Angelo Fernando.
The last time the DLSZ GS Football Team won PRISAA was in 2018. The GS Football team roster is fairly new with student players from various youth football clubs. Getting them to play together and bond as a team in a short span of time was a feat in itself.
