A total of 197 “bakwit” composed of 187 children and 10 parents from Maharlika Village,Taguig visited De La Salle Santiago Zobel School for Abot Lasalyano Part 1, an annual In-Reach Activity of student clubs and organizations, held on August 6, 2018 at Gym 5, Lower Grades in DLSZ.
Welcoming them were the entire members of the High School Student Representative Coordinating Council for Academic Year 2018 -2019 armed to the teeth with their prepared programs and food for the guests.
Eight organizations namely Best Buddies DLSZ Chapter, Counter Point, Lasalyanong Pinoy, Lasallian Youth Corps, Mission Youth, Youth for Christ, and the HS SRCC. Around 100 club members actively participated in this year’s in-reach activity headed by Janna Ysabelle F. Medrero , HSSRCC Social Action Vice President. Each organization prepared parlor games, snacks, and tokens for the children who enjoyed the six-hour bonding with the student leaders.
Now on its sixth year, ABOT LASALYANO is a collaborative project of Student Clubs and Activities Office, Social Action Office, and the Lasallian Formation and Mission Department. It targets to reach out to the marginalized sector of the society through a simple fellowship gathering.
